I am a lifelong East Tennessee resident and am proud to represent its people in Washington. I have watched as extreme partisanship in the area has destroyed the economy, environment, and the will of the people to even participate in the electoral process.

I believe that the government should enact policies that provide each citizen with financial and personal security. To ensure this, we need to pass bold legislation such as Medicare for All, the Green New Deal, and Universal Basic Income. There is no time to waste – people are dying, the economy is collapsing, and our environment is at risk.
